JNL Acres is a dairy goat farm at Fairplay, Colorado, with a herd of more than fifty goats, a Front Street shop of goat milk soap and lotion, and hour long farm tours.
JNL Acres is a dairy goat herd at Fairplay, high in the Colorado mountains, and Mountain Essentials is the family shop for what the herd's milk becomes.
Their goat journey began in 2013 with a Nubian and Nigerian cross called Effie and her kid Penelope, and the family have travelled all over the country for goats since. By 2026 the herd is more than fifty strong, with Toggenburgs and Lamanchas the main focus, and kidding season starts in February.
Everything is made in Fairplay from the goats' milk: goat milk soaps, goat milk hand and body lotions, tallow face butter, hand poured soy and coconut candles and lip balm, sold from the shop at 526 Front St and online, with free shipping on orders over $100. The farm also runs an hour long tour where you meet the goats and the alpacas, feed the babies and hear how the animals are looked after. A handful of other Colorado shops stock the range too.

Their goat milk products are undeniably the BEST i have ever purchased. Just stocked up on my favorite Wild Thyme. If you are anywhere near Fairplay, stop in!!!!

Nicole was great! My wife loves her lip balm, and I'm looking forward to the duck and chicken eggs from her home! Her new store is beautiful and really livens up this part of Fairplay! We will be back....again!
