Nezinscot Farm
Nezinscot Farm in Turner, Maine was the state's first certified organic dairy and runs a farm store, cafe, fromagerie making raw milk cheeses, full diet CSA, yarn shop and herbal apothecary.
Nezinscot Farm sits at 284 Turner Center Road in Turner, Maine, and became the first certified organic dairy in the state in 1994.
The family milks 90 to 125 cows, a mix of Holsteins, Jerseys and Brown Swiss, without antibiotics or hormones, and grows 90 percent of the herd's feed on the farm. Milk ships wholesale through the Organic Valley cooperative, while the farm's own fromagerie turns raw cow and goat milk into hard and soft cheeses made on site.
The farmhouse holds a farm store, cafe and bakery, with bread and pastries baked fresh daily and a menu built from the farm's own cheese and meats. A year round full diet CSA offers farm raised beef, pork, chicken, dairy, eggs and vegetables. There is also a yarn shop stocked from the farm's own sheep, llamas, alpacas and goats, and an herbal apothecary run by owner Gloria Varney.

I’ve been a regular for 10 years now. This farm is a special place, there’s no where else like it. They truly care about our community, health, wellness, and good stewardship of the land. They provide not only excellent food and other goods made by them or others locally, but they give back to the community in more ways than one. They’ve helped my family more than once over the years and I will forever be grateful for the Varney family and the community they have built. Not to mention the food is 10/10!

My favorite local place! Baked goods, coffees, and all the cool stuff they sell like cheeses and milk are amazing.

Friendly ish staff but we ordered poutine had time to go walk around the entire animal area and see all the animals come walk back in around the entire store and the lady didn’t even start the food yet, mind you this was about 25-30 min later. Completely insane and for my step son to get a cake brownie it was $5 for a little square that was dry. From a farm stand type of store I’d expect more better prices for the community.
