Depot Street Meats & Dairy

Farms, a family owned farm in Franklin County, Maine, selling from 29 Depot Street in Jay and from twice weekly stalls at the Farmington farmers markets. The farm raises 100 percent grass fed, grass finished Belted Galloway beef with no antibiotics and no hormones, Maine state inspected, alongside pastured Katahdin lamb, heritage poultry and fresh chicken and duck eggs.

The farm is also a fully licensed Maine dairy for the sale of raw milk and dairy products, with everything tested monthly. Raw whole goat milk comes from its own herd of registered Guernsey goats, primarily grass fed and supplemented with local grains, and is made into a soft spreadable chevre, kefir, yogurt and cow and goat milk cheeses, with a Normande milk cow named Liberty and two Normande heifers from an all grass fed organic herd joining the milking line. A new double milking station serves the goats, and registered Guernsey goat kids are sold from a published kidding schedule.
