Painted Pepper Farm is a family goat dairy and creamery in Steuben, Maine making goat milk yogurt, kefir, chevre and gelato, sold from a 24 hour self serve farmstand.
Painted Pepper Farm is a family owned saltwater farm on Goods Point Road in Steuben, on the coast of Downeast Maine.
The family milks a herd of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, 28 milkers strong in spring 2026, and turns the milk into Dairy Delights in the farm creamery: goat's milk yogurt, kefir, chevre, gelato, fudge, cheesecake and cannoli cream, alongside Not Too Sweet Treats like Maine maple roasted nuts.
A little pink farmstand sits just outside the farm gate, open around the clock every day of the year as a true self serve store on the honor system, with preorders welcome for Wednesday and Saturday pickup. The farm also sells through the FarmDrop online farmers market and natural food stores from Bar Harbor to Bangor, offers a Farmstand CSA share, and hosts monthly Sunday Goat Snuggle Socials.

Visited this farm for a Sunday snuggle social! It was amazing the animals here are so loved. Such a natural environment for them to enjoy truly a magical family experience! Would definitely come again. Thank you Painted Pepper Farm for a great last day in Maine!
