Tilth and Timber is a small scale diversified farm in Castine, Maine, devoted to producing wholesome food and handcrafted goods for its community.

The farm grows a wide variety of vegetables and herbs, sold through CSA shares and its own farm store at 165 Castine Road. Sign ups for the 2026 CSA are open, with full season and summer shares in two sizes, and members praise the rotating weekly variety and food that came out of the ground the same day they collect it.

Alongside the produce, the farmers carve woodenware by hand, make herbal care products, and teach spoon carving workshops on the farm. The farm store opens Fridays from 2pm to 6pm between June and October, and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm year round. CSA members know the farmers, Cindy and Troy, by name at pickup, and the farm shares its days' work on Instagram and Facebook.
