Bakers Green Acres is a homestead farm in Marion, Michigan offering a raw milk herd share from a pastured Jersey and Guernsey herd, daily moved pastured chicken, turkey, pork and beef.
Baker's Green Acres is the Baker family's homestead farm in Marion, in northern Michigan, built around raw milk, pastured poultry and teaching that anyone can farm.
The dairy herd is mainly Jersey, Guernsey and their crosses, heritage breeds that are mostly A2A2, grazing lush Michigan pasture through summer and eating the farm's organically raised hay in winter. Raw milk is shared through a herd share: a one time buy in, then a monthly subscription for a weekly gallon of whole, cream on top milk in glass jars, collected at the farm or a Cadillac meet up.
Chickens are raised on fresh pasture and moved daily onto new grass, fed non GMO feed, and sold as whole bird bundles alongside Thanksgiving turkeys, pork and beef from the farm store. The Bakers also run poultry processing, homesteading classes and consulting, a small campground, and an active blog of recipes and farm life.

Very friendly. Reasonable pricing. Very knowledgeable.
We tried baker green acres for bird processing and they did an Excellent job very reasonable priced birds were vacuumed sealed came out exactly the way we wanted them cut would definitely recommend them for processing very friendly enjoyed talking with them.
We have been buying our chicken and raw milk shares from Baker鈥檚 Green Acres for years! Personally, it鈥檚 turned me into a chicken snob.: ) store bought chicken is an inferior product; its texture, color, and flavor are subpar to Baker鈥檚 pasteurized chicken. 馃挴 recommend.

Amazing job! I will definitely be a returning customer!
Highly recommend the Life Force All Purpose seasoning! It's such a clever way to get vitamins in, especially for the whole family. I have young kids, so I don't want them swallowing vitamins or eating sugar vitamins. My kids can never tell when I add this to our meals and they'll eat it all like normal. Win win in my book!!
Not a single bad thing to say about the Baker family and their lovely farm. We LOVE our raw milk. My little ones are 3.5 and 1.5 and I won鈥檛 let them drink any other milk. Everyone鈥檚 stomach health has improved dramatically since making the switch to REAL milk. May I also add that we live over an hour away from the farm and make the drive every week for fresh milk, that is how incredible it is. The little conversations with Mark and Jill every week are a special plus too. We feel we truly know our farmers and where our milk is coming from/how the animals are cared for.
The Baker Family just held their annual Tribe Day and it was such a great opportunity to meet other families that are involved in gardening, raising animals, and regenerative farming. If you've never eaten french fries cooked in tallow and Mangalitsa lard you need to buy some and try it right away. Speakers at the event held 1 hour sessions covering subjects such as native plants, first aid, soil improvement, cabin construction, and gravity fed water systems. To top it all off we had a farm tour hayride and campfire. There is a beautiful field used for camping and and soon camping cabins will be available.
