The family write that after their youngest daughter was born with a rare genetic syndrome they wanted to get back to their roots and raise their children in the atmosphere a farm provides. They believe happy, well cared for animals raised on pasture, fresh air and sunshine make the healthiest food, and they say the whole farm revolves around those practices.
The farm sells 100 percent grass fed, lab tested raw milk, grass fed beef, pastured pork and chicken, and free range eggs. Visitors arrive to hens wandering the yard and cows grazing in the pasture, and the farm says everything in its store came from healthy animals raised on fresh air and sunshine. You can shop the self serve store during its posted hours or place a bulk order to stock a freezer. I could not be more happy with my herdshare at Six S. Previously had another herd share and the two products are not even comparable. Six S produces the freshest, sweetest milk, and I enjoy drinking milk for the first time in my 36 years. I feel so good knowing I’m giving my family the best milk available in west Michigan. Huge thank you to the Skelonc family!
