Classen Land & Cattle is a family farm in Saint Edward, Nebraska selling small batch raw milk and raw cream from its own cow for on farm pickup, plus dry aged Nebraska beef and eggs.
Classen Land & Cattle is the family farm of Travis and Jordan Classen.
Travis is a fifth generation farmer by lineage, and the pair became first generation farmers in their own right in spring 2016 when they bought pasture near Fullerton, Nebraska, later expanding to their farmplace in Saint Edward and a storefront in Albion. They believe in farming honestly, morally and intentionally, and work with local landowners on soil health, grass seeding and prescription grazing.
On the farm they offer small batch raw, unpasteurised milk and raw cream from their family milk cow, Sweetheart, milked, handled and cooled at home and bottled in reusable glass jars on a deposit and exchange system. In accordance with Nebraska law the raw milk and cream are sold only from the farm, picked up on site, with fresh milk daily. The main business is beef, sold as individual cuts, in bulk, and dry aged, alongside fresh eggs.
