My favorite local farm.
Super friendly, Organic produce and baked goods are outstanding. Awesome pretty much says it all.
The most shit corn I've purchased. Wow. Worms and all. None of the ears were full two had worms and one was totally mush at the top. What a waste of resources.
Great food products and produce for sale. Their prepared food is also healthy and wonderful.
Veggies, flower picking, blueberry picking, eggs, meat, Oh my! Great place to visit!
We come by once a year and stock up on more berries than our bellies and our freezers can handle and are always appreciative of the quality of the fruit and the kindness of the team. We made a stop at the Farm Store too which is beautifully curated and has the best home-made croissants, cookies and treats around. Thank you for all that you do!
Took my grandsons visiting from Arizona strawberry picking. Thorpe's is easy to get to just outside East Aurora. They have picked fruit and vegetables, but we went to pick strawberries which were in season. We could park close to the fields. It's a fun family activity that the young ones will remember.
We went to pick our own strawberries. But before we headed out to the patch, we decided to get breakfast sandwiches. They were just freshly made! We grabbed 3 and went up to the counter and our total was $33! For 3 breakfast sandwiches? They were $10.50 each. While they were delicious, $10.50 is a huge rip off. Very disappointed.
We love and appreciate organic farming. We were a little confused where to go and how to get started picking our own strawberries. I think they could easily add some more info on their website or signage to help in this area. Overall a great experience!
Excellent products that are packed with real nutrients, offer impressive longevity, and are reasonably priced. The team is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they offer. They are always available to answer questions and provide helpful guidance. It’s refreshing to work with people who truly stand behind the quality of their products and care about their customers.
Thorpe's Organic Family Farm is a certified organic family farm near East Aurora, New York, with a year round farm store, pick your own berries, a market CSA and its own organic meats and bakery.
Thorpe's Organic Family Farm began in 1983, when Mike and Gayle Thorpe started farming together just outside East Aurora in western New York. Six kids and 13 grandkids later the family farm continues, having made the leap from conventional to organic in the 90s after seeing what chemicals did to soil and health. The farm has been certified organic through NOFA NY since 1999, relying on cover crops, crop rotation, manure from its own cows and plenty of hand weeding.
The farm store is open year round, Monday to Saturday, with certified organic fruits and vegetables, organic eggs and dairy, the farm's organically fed beef, pork and poultry, daily baked goods and organic drip coffee, with breakfast sandwiches on Friday and Saturday mornings. Summer brings pick your own organic blueberries and raspberries, and a weekly market CSA runs alongside Gayle's newsletter.
