Threefold Community Farm is a biodynamic forty acre farm at Monsey, New York, with Rockland County's only raw milk dairy herd, an honour system farm store, a CSA and a Friday produce stand.
Threefold Community Farm cares for forty acres of land at Monsey in Rockland County, New York, about thirty miles north west of New York City.
It was formed in 2018 when the Pfeiffer Center of the Threefold Educational Foundation and Duryea Farm of the Fellowship Community came together, and it is worked biodynamically throughout. The team grows vegetables, herbs, flowers and seed crops, makes its own compost and potting soil, rotationally grazes and cuts hay for what they describe as Rockland County's only dairy herd and raw milk creamery, works two draft horses and manages an apiary.
The self serve farm store on Ackertown Road runs on the honour system and is open 7am to 8pm, seven days a week, for as long as there is stock. It sells raw milk from the farm's own Jersey forward micro herd, yogurt made in house with heirloom cultures, cheeses, herbal teas, the farm's Lightroot herb salt, beeswax salves and seasonal ferments, with pasteurised milk offered alongside the raw. Because the dairy is seasonal, quantities follow the cows' lactation cycles, and the farm says milk is plentiful from May to January and scarce in late winter and early spring. There is also a CSA, a Friday produce stand in season, guided farm tours and practical training in biodynamics.
