Just be aware that 1 pound can be different weight in real world. I can't say anything about quality. But treating customers should be done better.
I tried their beef at a farmers market in Grangeville, Idaho. It was amazing.. It had the best flavor of any beef I’ve ever had..
Janelle and Roy love what they do and it shows! Ethically raising animals and providing quality products takes so much work and they do it excellently. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking into purchasing grass fed beef, bones for bone broth, or even good farm fresh eggs! They do it all!
I'm a first time buyer in 2023. Janelle, I cant thank you enough for the beef you are raising. Ive been searching for beef of this quality and flavor for over 20 years. Beautifully lean and tastes just like it should, just like it did when I was a kid. Thank you, Thank you Thank you!!
Bought a 1/2 beef last year and another this year. Good beef and Janelle is helpful, easy to work with, and has many great ideas for how to cook your beef!
Taking charge of our health has become our number one priority, and purchasing our beef from Janelle and Roy is a great start! Knowing our meat was raised humanely and clean gives us peace of mind the food we're eating is healthy. It is tender and has excellent flavor. Janelle is a great source of cooking ideas, as well! Thank you both for the friendly delivery and preparation tips!
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

I've waited to do this review to allow time to eat some of the beef in order to provide an all around perspective. First, Janelle Moses is wonderful to work with. She's available, open and an honest communicator. She knows everything about her cows and is happy to share every detail about the life cycle along with food preparation. The order process is simple and Janelle will touch base with you all the way. You'll need to pay a deposit at time of order. Second, the butcher is wonderful too. They'll call you to get your cutting and wrapping instructions. When you pick up, your order is ready and accurate, complete with labels on all the packages to facilitate putting it away. This is where you will meet Janelle to pay your order in full at the time you pickup your order. Third, the beef is fantastic! It's extremely lean and flavorful. If you care about where your beef comes from, how it's raised and harvested, you can't go wrong with Holy Cow! Farms.
My family and I made our first purchase of a quarter beef two weeks ago and I have to say what a wonderful experience. Janelle and Roy made the experience special and went over and beyond to explain her process and beliefs in detail on how she takes care of her animals. Janelle made sure to take the time to invite us out to see what i was investing my money into. I was very impressed with the couple and cleanness of the farm shows how much they care about their products. She made the buying process easy and explained the humane treatment of her animals along with the fact she uses local butchers to not contaminate the meat. All this was an amazing experience but when we arrived at home and made our first meals thats when I realized how delicious the meat really was. I will be a returning customer in the future I recommend others take in this experience themselves. Thank you Holy Cow.
Just visited the farm this past weekend with my family. We have ordered several times in the past and never got to visit and I am glad we went. Janelle was great and we had a great time visiting, taking a tour, saying hi to the animals and picking up the beef. They have these two beautiful, gigantic horses. The cows look really comfortable, too. I would highly recommend not only purchasing some beef from Janelle and Holy Cow but going out and visiting the farm.
