Moy Hill Farm

It is certified organic and run on holistic grazing and agroforestry lines, and it has held Savory Institute Ecological Outcome Verification since 2021, an independent check on whether the soil, water cycle and biodiversity are actually improving. Cattle are raised on pasture, hens range for their eggs, and a market garden carries vegetables through the seasons. Fergal Smith farms here with a small team, and the farm trains interns each year.

There is a farm shop at Lackamore, open every day from nine until six, unmanned and run on honesty with cash and card both accepted. Boxes can be ordered online for collection at the farm, with local delivery around Lahinch and Ennistymon, and there is a small CSA box subscription. The farm stands at Ennis market on Friday mornings and at Ennistymon on Saturdays from May to December, and its vegetables, beef and eggs also reach shops, cafes and seven local restaurants.
