Susan's Farm is a certified organic, Pasture for Life care farm charity at Houghton near Carlisle, Cumbria, selling its own pasture fed beef, organic lamb, geese, eggs and vegetables.
Susan's Farm is a certified organic, Pasture for Life working care farm two miles from Carlisle in Cumbria, run as a registered charity.
Its vision is that lives are transformed by working together in purposeful outdoor activity, and the farm hosts over 150 school visits a year alongside therapeutic care farming and alternative provision for young people who need a different learning environment. Field to fork workshops let groups cook the farm's own organic meat in its catering kitchen.
Buying the meat funds that work. The farm sells organic, pasture fed beef and organic lamb all year, organic geese at Christmas, and eggs and vegetables in season, through its online shop under the Croft Farm Meats name, with delivery or collection from the farm. A small stable shop also sells goods from local producers such as cheese, honey, apple juice and preserves. Beef and lamb are Pasture for Life certified, and animals are reared in full compliance with Soil Association organic standards.

I've had 2 kids here over padt 3 years they've thrived and really look forward to going.
Thank you very much to everyone who made the annual farm open day a wonderful event yesterday. It was a great day out and our son loved it.

Popped in today on our journey from Windermere to Glasgow. Super happy with the kind, homely service Susan offered as well as the delicious organic treats. We shall be visiting again, thanks! I've had to edit my review unfortunately as the jar of jam had mold under the lid, and the cheese wedge was completely rancid. I was so excited beforehand. Will still revisit though as perhaps just an off day.
Bought some diced lamb last night for our curry today. Susan is just such an amazing, interesting lady. The lamb was to die for.. slow cooked, tender and absorbed all the flavours in a curry without destroying the flavour one little bit.
An amazing working organic farm. They have a variety of animals, including sheep and chickens. I have been both as a visitor to an open day, and with a school visit. Both times it was fun and educational for children and adults.
