Middle Farm is a 625 acre working family farm on the South Downs at West Firle, near Lewes in East Sussex, farmed by the Pile family for over sixty years and now run by Helen and Rod with their sons Joe, Noah and Gulliver.

One of the best places to stop. The selection of gifts especially cidres is out of this world and you cannot leave without buying the fresh apple juice by the pint! Great cafe too.

Oh my goodness what a find. Amazing fatm shop, super cafe and plants. Beatifully set in msny farm buildings. Well worth a visit. Eatly for Glyndebourne and a great place for lunch.
We had a lot of fun here today with the little ones. We loved seeing the animals and feeding the rabbits and guinea pigs. A wonderful farm shop too.
We visited without kids and enjoyed some decent coffee with cake. The gluten-free cake we didn’t like at all, but the coffee cake was delicious. We also visited the plants area and the farm shop. As a Dutchman I was particularly impressed with the beautiful selection of sausages. I also tasted and purchased my fist ever Sloe Gin. Will be back!

Middle Farm in Lewes, East Sussex is a true old-fashioned treat. The authentic farm ambience makes you feel right at home, and you can enjoy your food in the idyllic garden, which is a lovely touch. It's a very pleasant experience; we even saw the organically made apple cider being pressed right in front of the farm market! The selection of fresh, local produce, homemade ciders, and appetizing pastries and cakes is fantastic. Paired with delicious sandwiches, soups, and salads, excellent service, and very reasonable prices, it's a wonderful stop for anyone in the area.
A lovely place to visit in the spring with the children. The play hay barn has been a firm favourite with all my children over the last 16 years. They were disappointed to discover that its not as grand as it once used to be. It no longer has the double height hay bales with the crawl tunnels underneath which my older boys have fond memories of. It was a shame they weren't able to show their youngest siblings how they made their memories. I hope that it is built up again to its former glory, it was our favourite part of the farm.
We have visited a few times over the past 20 years and it's nice to see the farm has expanded and has become a popular attraction, the farm shop is out of this world! I wish I could afford to shop here all the time, the cider shop is equally impressive if you are partial to a tipple of course. The actual animal farm/kids area is perfect for young children, although dare I say a little expensive. However I am always happy to support farmers and as a one off was happy to pay £40 for a family of 4 we were there for around 90 minutes Inc the shops x.
