Joy of Illinois Farm is a 30 year old family farm near Champaign, Illinois with an IDPH raw dairy permit, selling raw goat milk, free range eggs and pastured livestock direct from the farm.
Joy of Illinois Farm sits four miles west of Champaign, Illinois, where Penny and Les Gioja have raised food for 30 years, first for their nine children and now for the community.
The farm holds one of roughly 16 raw dairy permits in Illinois, and its pastured Saanen goats give unprocessed raw milk, lab tested every six weeks and sold in returnable glass Mason quart jars at the farm. Most milk and egg sales run through CSA style shares paid in late winter for the season, which runs March 21 to November 21.
Free range eggs, live Katahdin lambs, Saanen dairy goats, small black American Guinea Hogs, meat chickens, African geese and Muscovy ducks round out the offer, sold from a small on farm store. Visitors can book a Saturday afternoon farm tour or come and do morning chores with the farmers.

State certified raw goat milk available by the season or half-season share, or by the quart, from Saanen/Alpine Goats. The goats are on pasture spring, summer, and fall, and get hay (from the farm) in winter, plus some grain at milking time. Milk is put in glass quart canning jars. Season for goat milk is March-November; call for availability.

Wonderful experience. It was end of season but was still able to get 2 quarts of raw goat milk for the best prices around. Coming here makes me wish I was able to do what they do, great place, great people. Thanks!
