White Gates Farm is a family farm in Tamworth, New Hampshire selling grass fed beef, Berkshire pork, pastured chicken, eggs and seasonal produce from a 24 hour farm stand.
White Gates Farm sits on an historic hill in Tamworth, New Hampshire, on a 113 acre tract that Hank and Heather Letarte bought in 1982.
It was a dense White Pine forest then, and forty years of work have turned it into working fields, greenhouses and mountain views. The farm raises Blonde d'Aquitaine cattle for beef, Berkshire pigs, and pasture raised broiling chickens that are moved onto a fresh clean patch of grass every day. Their own farm sign calls the beef all natural grass fed. Vegetables and herbs are grown alongside, and the Letartes' four grown children are part of the farm now.
Meat, eggs, seasonal produce and ice cream are sold from the farm stand behind the farmhouse, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and takes cash, check or Venmo. The family also sells at several farmers markets, runs a seasonal meat CSA and supplies local restaurants, and an online meat ordering service with pickup points is listed on their site as coming soon. Beyond the food they run Edible Education, with family farm days, a day camp for children and seminars, host weddings and farm dinners on the property, and close their own energy loop through Our Town Biodiesel and their Organic Matters composting facility, whose compost goes back onto these fields.

We stayed at Cottage Cove for a few days and also joined one of their pizza nights. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. The Cottage was perfect and the views were amazing. Hank was a pleasure to talk to as we ran into him during our exploration of the farm. Heather was so helpful and very quick to respond if we needed anything. We also had the pleasure of trying their meats which were absolutely delicious. Thank you for hosting us! We will definitely be back again.

We love White Gates Farm and try to get there as often as possible during the summer and fall. The food and music are great but the views are what makes this spot so special. We are three generations from 68 to 4 and everyone has a great time.
