Arroyo Runs Through It

Farmers Dylan and Nina run the whole place on rainwater catchment, as there is no well on the property, and raise dairy sheep, rabbits, chickens and ducks. Nina found farming at sixteen through a Vermont goat creamery and has studied animal husbandry around the world through WWOOF.

The farm's mission is nourishing food, thoughtfully crafted farm products and meaningful education for its hyper local community. It hosts hands on workshops through the year, from erosion control and small scale community grazing to stew hen processing and cob oven building, and welcomes WWOOF volunteers. A sheep dairy herdshare serving Albuquerque, Cedar Crest and the Cerrillos and Madrid area is listed in the Weston A Price Foundation's raw milk directory.
