Raw milk from De Smet Dairy has no equal! We"ve been thriving back to health with REAL TRUE MILK! This Family provides the ONLY food that we can be confident to be PURE- aside from what we grow at home. To the individuals leaving reviews complaining about prices for De Smet's raw milk: The raw milk from De Smet's family dairy has had the same value as always- a value much greater than any other food products you buy. Your fiat paper dollars printed as "DEBT NOTES" have lost their buying power. The USDollar has become 95% less valuable since the gov't began borrowing it from the federal reserve bank(illegally). Please, DO NOT blame De Smet Dairy for the fact that their milk and food have intrinsic value- This value will NOT be diminished by the devalued economy, nor your inability to direct your complaints towards the true cause of higher prices- The control and manipulation of your wealth, health and life originates in your government. Take a moment, PLEASE to admit your being incorrect and apologize to The De Smet Family for having published reviews disingenuously!
My kids absolutely love the chocolate milk from here. A bit pricey but so worth it. I want to start getting more locally organic stuff. Better for us.
Honor system.
These are some of the friendliest, hardest working people I've ever met and the cows are obviously happy and relaxed and you can taste it in their milk. For whatever reason, I decided to read the one and two star reviews and all I can say is the people that left them have absolutely no idea what it takes to do what these people do. The products are going to cost whatever they have to cost based on what the cows were able to produce that week. If you don't appreciate the effort folks like these go through to provide you with the highest possible nutrition, keep shopping solely based on price and take your chances with what the corporate farms and lobbyists are willing to give you. Folks that seek producers like this out don't generally economize on our health, but that is your choice and I respect your right to do that.
I love raw milk and these people blessed by god can finally deliver raw milk to New Mexico.
$16/ for a gallon of milk is absurd. Please reconsider the increase in price. As a long term customer, this is crazy.
Visiting De Smet was one of the highlights of our trip to Albuquerque. We were lucky enough to bump into Michael's father, who showed us around the farm --- including the hops pellet mill he built himself, and some roofs put up by the CCC during the Roosevelt era. The De Smets have been farming this land for the past 100 years, and it shows. I didn't have the fresh milk, but it met my wife's approval, which means it must be very, very good.
Easy to find location for one! Secondly, I happened to call the number posted in their cute silo shop and got greeted by an amazing man named Mike who helped me out flawlessly, and even took the time out of his time-pressed day, to show my daughter how the process of milking works! Then I finally got home and tried their product, raw milk tastes AMAZING and is so good for your gut!!! I suggest this dairy for everyone!
Such a wonderful place. We first found De Smet last year during 2020 (January) and the Raw Whole milk is so delicious and fresh and the only way to do milk honestly. The owner is a really nice guy and the first time he explained the whole process and how he started out the diary. Family oriented and excellent products the best I've been to and also very accommodating for request. I always stop by when I'm close. Love this place. This is the stop if you want fresh and delicious. This place isn't the same as any other diary they use a cold process for the milk as I understood the process. Number one! The cheese curds literally taste better then any cheese I've had, period! Don't miss out on this Gem!
