Jordan grew up in the Utica area and spent a year apprenticing under Joel Salatin at Polyface Farm in 2006 before coming home to start the farm. In 2012 he managed Maple Hill Creamery's 100 percent grassfed dairy at Little Falls, then spent a year in Virginia supplying raw milk to local families through a herdshare, and that is the work that set him on the raw milk path. Hannah grew up on her father's small hobby farm in Minnesota and moved to New York in 2014. The couple leased their present farm in 2015, and since April 2016 it has held a New York State raw milk dairy license, the first and still the only one in Oneida County.

The farm calls itself pasture based and beyond organic. The herd is moved daily on rotational grazing, and the animals raised on that grass become 100 percent grassfed raw milk, 100 percent grassfed beef, pastured pork and GMO free pastured eggs. Chicken and turkey are not available at present. Cuts are processed and vacuum packed by Jordan Brandt of Red Barn Meats in Croghan, and sold from the farm store alongside bulk beef and pork in quarters, halves and whole animals.
