Ayala FarmsFruit & veg · Issaquah4.6 (532 reviews)Ayala Farms grows seasonal vegetables using regenerative, soil focused methods, keeping inputs low and letting careful land management do the work. The range runs from cucumbers and lettuces to carrots and tomatoes, all grown for flavour and picked in season.
The produce is sold in person, and the place to find it is the farm's stall at the Issaquah Farmers Market every Saturday. If you are after something particular, get in touch by email.
Nash's Organic ProduceFruit, veg & eggs · Sequim4.6 (148 reviews)Nash's Organic Produce is Nash Huber's long running certified organic farm in the fertile Dungeness Valley of Sequim, Washington, on the North Olympic Peninsula, where Nash has farmed since arriving in 1968. The farm grows organic vegetables and fruit, grain, seed crops and cover crops across a wide rotation, keeps pigs and laying chickens, and runs its own grain mill, grain dryer and packing shed, with soil building through cover cropping and crop rotation at the heart of the operation.
After closing its big Dungeness farm store in 2020 the farm carried on. Its own produce, stone ground flour, rolled oats, whole wheat, rye and triticale berries, dried beans and peas, eggs and pork sell from a small farm stand at 1865 E Anderson Road, and bulk grain, flour and seed can be ordered from the sales desk by phone or email.
Sound Sustainable FarmsRaw milk, fruit & veg · Redmond4.9 (42 reviews)Sound Sustainable Farms is a certified organic vegetable farm on over 60 acres of protected farmland in Redmond, Washington. The land had sat fallow until 2017, when local composting company Cedar Grove leased it and rebuilt the depleted soil with its own locally made compost. The farm rejects synthetic insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and fertilisers, is certified organic by WSDA and GAP certified for food safety, and grows lettuce, strawberries, tomatoes, chard, kale, broccoli, cucumbers, peppers, radishes and more.
Produce is sold through a CSA and delivered to schools, restaurants, retailers and food banks around Puget Sound. The on site farmstand is open four days a week year round, selling the farm's own harvest alongside fruit and vegetables from other Washington organic farms, plus eggs, meats and dairy. Scheduled tours show visitors how and what the farm grows.
Around the Table FarmFruit, veg & eggs · Poulsbo4.7 (24 reviews)Around the Table Farm is a horse powered market garden on 5.5 acres above Poulsbo, Washington, on the ancestral lands of the Suquamish Tribe. The Steege-Jackson family have grown food here since the winter of 2010, working a draft horse alongside a small crew. They grow a wide range of heirloom and open pollinated vegetables, fruit, berries, grains and cut flowers using organic methods, and keep laying hens for pasture raised, organically fed eggs.
The self serve farmstand at 20322 Pugh Rd NE is open every day, 9am to 7pm, all year round. The CSA has run for 15 seasons: a spring greens share from April, then a main season share from June to December, collected in Poulsbo, Bremerton, Bainbridge, Kingston and two Seattle neighbourhoods. Shares are sliding scale with payment plans, EBT and scholarships. Members can add eggs and flowers from the farm, and cheese, honey, wine and wild salmon from named neighbouring producers. The farm also supplies Fishline Food Bank and the Kitsap Community Food Co-op.
Conway Family FarmRaw milk, meat, fruit & veg · Camas5 (15 reviews)Conway Family Farm is a five acre goat dairy and creamery on Livingston Mountain in south west Washington, about 35 minutes from Portland, run by Shaun and Lorrie Conway. The land was once part of a prune orchard and has been turned over to pasture and gently wooded hillside. The Conways have kept goats since 1974 and have held a licensed Washington State Grade A dairy since 2005. Dairy goats, sheep and chickens share the daily round of the farm. Shaun is the steady hand behind the buildings, systems and daily maintenance, and Lorrie makes the seasonal cheeses and gelato style ice creams and designs and tends the gardens.
The milk comes from their small herd of Nubian dairy goats and is bottled fresh. Because it is made in small batches it is not sold through shops or farmers markets. Customers join the farm's own milk programme with a short intake and agreement, then order weekly through a portal and collect at the farm, as the farm does not deliver. Alongside the milk they make artisan goat cheeses and goat milk ice cream, and grow blueberries, orchard fruit, seasonal vegetables, honey and fresh cut flowers. The self serve farm store is open seven days a week from 9am to dusk through the summer months.Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up
