Today the estate is best known for its award winning farm shop, garden centre, gift barn, cafes and the Discovery Land adventure play trail, open all year. The farm shop carries seasonal fruit and vegetables, with crab apples, pumpkins and squashes grown on the farm itself in autumn, alongside a butchery making handcrafted sausages by hand, cheeses, bakery goods and deli lines. Much of the range comes from producers across Surrey, Sussex, Kent and beyond under the shop's Love Local banner, so the estate reads mainly as a destination farm shop and family day out rather than a working livestock farm.

The shop also stocks bread baked on the farm by Fermento Bakery, eggs from Orchard Eggs, cheeses from High Weald Dairy and around fifty savoury pies and ready meals from the farm's own Pie Kitchen. Raw milk from the grass fed Jersey herd, whose calves stay with their mothers until they can graze, is sold from a vending machine outside the shop, so bring your own container.

The counter carries beef, lamb, pork, chicken and poultry, dairy, and offal, bones and fats. • 6Loddington Farm ShopLoddington Farm ShopFruit, veg & eggs · Maidstone, Kent4.7 (113 reviews)Loddington Farm is a fifth generation family farm in the Kent countryside near Maidstone, run by James Smith, whose great great grandfather first grew apples on the land. The farm has turned away from chemical farming: no synthetic fertilisers or herbicides are applied to the soils, fungicides and insecticides are being phased out, and the focus is on rebuilding soil ecosystems and growing nutrient dense food, with apples and pears still at the heart of the farm alongside the Owlet fruit juice pressed on site. The award winning farm shop opened in January 2024 and was named among The Times 35 best farm shops in Britain. It sells as much of the farm's own fresh produce as the season allows, plus the farm's own eggs, slow grown native breed pork reared outdoors, venison and juice, alongside food and drink from carefully selected Kent producers. A cafe in the courtyard behind the shop serves breakfast and lunch.

What is a farm supper club?

Dinner on a working farm, cooked and eaten with the people who grew it. At one of our supper clubs, you eat at the farm where the food was grown, with the farmer who grew it.
