  • 1Morwick FarmMorwick FarmRaw milk · Morpeth, Northumberland4.8 (1368 reviews)Open Saturday and Sunday, 12pm to 5pmMorwick Farm is a working dairy farm at Acklington, near Morpeth in Northumberland. The herd is mostly Holstein and Ayrshire cows alongside a few Jerseys. In the warmer months they graze Northumberland grass, and through the winter they are fed silage grown on the farm together with feeds made up by the farm's nutritionist. The farm states plainly that it does not feed Bovaer or any other chemical additive to its cows. Milk from the herd goes into the farm's own gelato style ice cream, made on site and pasteurised. About twenty flavours sit in the counter at any time and they change often, from the plain fior di latte made with the Jersey milk to mango yogurt and salted caramel, several of them winners at the Great Taste Awards. The Parlour is open daily for cones, tubs, take home tubs and coffee, and the farm also makes semifreddo and ice cream cakes. Morwick no longer sells raw milk or milkshakes.

Field to fork workshops let groups cook the farm's own organic meat in its catering kitchen. Buying the meat funds that work. The farm sells organic, pasture fed beef and organic lamb all year, organic geese at Christmas, and eggs and vegetables in season, through its online shop under the Croft Farm Meats name, with delivery or collection from the farm. Beef and lamb are Pasture for Life certified, and animals are reared in full compliance with Soil Association organic standards.

Good to know

What is a farm supper club?

Dinner on a working farm, cooked and eaten with the people who grew it. At one of our supper clubs, you eat at the farm where the food was grown, with the farmer who grew it. You hear the stories behind the ingredients, share the meal with people who care about where their food comes from, and talk about it together.

How does booking work?

Every event page shows the date, the time, the price and the places left. Pick your places and pay online; a free event just asks you to book a place. If a host calls an event off, paid tickets are refunded automatically to the original payment method.

Where do farm events happen?

On working farms around the country: in the barn, at a long table in the field, in the dairy or the farm kitchen. Every event page names the farm, shows the address and links to the farm's own listing, so you can see who is hosting before you book.

How do I hear about new events first?
