Raw honey
Bishops Bees is an independent apiary in Bishops Nympton, North Devon producing raw cold extracted wildflower and heather honey, breeding British queen bees and running beekeeping courses.
Bishops Bees keeps hives deep in the North Devon countryside, where the bees forage along hedgerows and across fields of wild flowers such as clover, bramble and rose bay willow herb.
As well as producing honey, the team breeds British queen bees, runs beekeeping courses and offers meadow management services.
The honey is cold extracted and never heated, only coarse filtered and hand poured into jars, so it stays about as raw as honey can be without eating it straight from the comb. Clear and soft set jars, plus honey with cinnamon or orange, are sold through the online shop for delivery, alongside beekeeping equipment.

Excellent instruction from Darren with pls of one to one time and all the facilities available for a good learning experience.
I recently had the pleasure of attending an introductory to bee keeping course with Bishops Bees and it was a thoroughly informative and pleasant day despite the weather. Excellent content and a great group of fellow 'students'. Darren clearly knows his subject and explained things in an easy to learn manner with a good mix of classroom theory and hands on practical experience. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend Bishops Bees to anyone looking to learn more about beekeeping, whether at a basic or advanced level - they have courses to suit everyone. I will certainly be looking to join more courses to further my knowledge. Peter.
