West Middlewick Farm is a family dairy farm at Nomansland in Devon selling award winning raw milk since 1964, plus farm reared meat and local produce from its farm shop, with camping and log pods on site.
West Middlewick is a traditional dairy farm at Nomansland in the heart of Devon, run by the Gibson family, and it has sold raw milk from the farm since 1964.
The closed herd of around 80 grass fed British Friesian and Friesian cross Jersey cows roams the fields around the farm and produces A2 milk, bottled fresh every day and sold as award winning raw milk alongside a pasteurised line. The farm also keeps about 120 sheep, pigs and around 100 chickens, and grows most of the animals' food itself.
The farm shop has grown from an honesty box into a recently converted old shippon, selling fresh raw milk, farm reared meats and local Devon produce, with the Hayloft cafe alongside. The family are members of the Raw Milk Producers Association and were among the first farms in the area awarded Mid Tier Countryside Stewardship. Campers and self catering guests stay on the working farm in log pods and camping pitches, and the farm hosts an Open Farm Sunday each year with a cream tea.

Latest review (Aug 26) - the farm has advanced so much over the last few years but retains it's friendly, family feel. I absolutely love it here. Fantastic site. Clean facilities, and the farmer (John) allows the children to help with feeding the animals. Very child friendly and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. I will be returning.
Very nice food a good play area for the kids very friendly staff.

We do not hold prices, availability, parking, access details or event dates for West Middlewick Farm. The farm answers those directly on its own site, by phone or by email.
Amazing farm shop a must visit to anyone (great fresh milk)
We stayed here at the weekend and what a lovely location it is. Reasonably priced stay (we camped), the location makes the price well deserved. Staff are very accommodating e.g. sold us some oat milk from their restaurant when we didn't have any, little things like that. The restaurant itself has lovely food freshly sourced! Staff around the working farm also very accommodating, giving children carrots to feed the animals. Being surrounded by their lovely animals and a host of lovely walks makes you not even want to leave the campsite. Would recommend this camp site to anyone!
Unplanned stop on the way to my north devon b&b. Friendly welcome and a fantastic farm shop, I purchased some fruit, a twix cookie pie and a scotch egg. The scotch egg was amazing I wish I'd have bought two. The twix cookie pie was also fantastic. Would highly recommend.
Amazing place so friendly and everything you need for quite get away and even better if you love farm animals.
What a wonderful friendly place to stay! Beautiful farm shop with the most delicious treats. We got to meet the new born calves which the kids loved. They enjoyed the little play park and the open space to play too. Overall a great place to stay if you’re looking for something laid back and friendly.
Visited last Fri 19/06 on our way to a mini break in North Devon. Lovely little farm and shop (yes, with a couple of chilled out donkeys in the back). That authentic farm with wooden interior, fresh vegetable produce and of course, raw dairy milk along with the rest of dairy produce (and all the rest). Lovely lady greeted us at the counter and engaged in a good conversation (about how people are coming back to the local farms). Excellent raw milk, clotted cream and also the Fairfield Farm crisps got my taste buds going. They even have loo facilities in case you need it. Added to my favourites and will visit again when in the area!
This is a absolutely wonderful shop and cafe/restaurant. food (milk) gifts. Camping.
We stayed here for 1 night lovely pitches, for the 2 of us in a camper, we didn’t use electric £15.00 Great views, a working farm, great for children to see the animals sheep, goats and pigs etc. The farm shop was great so much on offer They also had a Restaurant upstairs I would definitely go back.
Wow! What a friendly welcome. I'd only emailed a couple of hours before and had a prompt reply. Followed up with the phone call. Exactly what you want. They'd even shut the farm shop and reopened it for me so I could get a couple of beers and some pasties for my tea. Instantly you feel at home. It's a proper farm with proper decent folk working here. I really really feel at home. I plumps for one of the lodges and my goodness me it's lovely spotless clean, comfortable bed. All the facilities you could want. Thank you so much Jo and her team for such a warm welcome.
We had a wonderful afternoon tea in their cafe for four of us for my birthday. The food was delicious and the service absolutely brilliant! Friendly and very attentive!
Amazing farm shop and the food in the Hayloft was so tasty. I had lasagna and my partner had chicken and bacon pie. We got to watch the goats in the farmyard as we ate. Some of the meals are available to buy frozen in the farm shop too. All local produce.
Wow. The farm shop is like a tardis. Lots of amazing fresh produce. The raw milk is fantastic, my family drink lots of milk and it's good to know they are getting the best possible milk, so fresh. The shop has everything you need and want and with the welcoming family service, you feel right at home. The produce is either from the farm or the surrounding area, supporting local communities. I would be here every week if we lived more locally. We stayed on the campsite. The top field is really spacious and we stayed in the bottom field, perfect for caravans. Watching the cow's daily routines. The toilet block is clean, with the usual elsan point and dish washing sinks. Showers require 20 pence's, and are kept clean. During our stay we wandered around the farm, looking at the animals and petting them, it's such a lovely place, so relaxing. On our last day the cow's were given access to a patch of grass in front of our van, which had been left to grow long as a treat. It was so funny to watch the cow's excitement and enthusiasm to devour the long grass. We have stayed before and definitely will be back. Thank you West Middlewick Farm. 🙂
