About the farm
Loreto Farm is a small family dairy in Caldwell, Idaho selling raw A2/A2 Jersey and Guernsey milk, pastured eggs, grass fed lamb and beef, and seasonal orchard fruit.
Loreto Farm is a small family farm at Caldwell in Idaho, producing raw Jersey and Guernsey milk under Idaho Raw Milk Permit RM#401. The herd is small enough for each cow to get individual care and much of it carries A2/A2 genetics. The cows and the pasture drink the same well water the family drinks rather than irrigation water, grazing is rotational, and the milk is cooled quickly after milking and bottled in small batches. Because it is never homogenised, the cream rises naturally to the top.
Alongside milk, cream and small batch yogurt, the farm keeps pasture raised laying hens, raises grass fed dorper lamb, sells grass fed Angus beef when the season allows, brews kombucha, and grows peaches, apricots, plums, nectarines, apples and blackberries in its own orchard using low spray and regenerative practices. There is no shop counter and availability changes week to week, so the farm asks people to get in touch to reserve products and arrange pickup. Families are welcome to come out and see where their food comes from, including the newest calf, Cookies.
