Mark's Farm is a small coastal beekeeping venture at Castlefreke near Clonakilty in West Cork, where Mark keeps native Irish bees in four small apiaries along the Wild Atlantic Way.
The hives are mostly hand made from recycled wood, and the bees gather nectar from wild hedgerows sprayed with a salty mist off the Atlantic.
The honey is sold as Mil, a raw coastal honey that is cold extracted, never heated or filtered, and mixed by hand with pollen and organic propolis, with no water or sugar added. You can order a jar online or pick one up from stockists around Cork, including shops in Clonakilty, Rosscarbery and Bantry and the English Market.
